After facing mental breakdowns, probable COVID-19, fever and an injured back, I finally managed to come face-to-face with something I like today. I refer, of course, to my friends. It was the first time I was meeting them in 3 years, or probably more, so it definitely felt good. What felt better was the fact that they all seemed to be in the same boat as myself, so to speak.
I realized something important today. I am not good at PC games like CS:GO or Valorant. I came to this conclusion after spending half an hour in the training arena of Valorant. It wasn't exactly the duration that brought me this epiphany, but the fact that I died once every minute. The difficulty level was set to easy, in case you were wondering.
People often consider cats to be the epitome of indifference, but there are some moments when they provide cinematic masterpieces. Regrettably, cameras are always in short supply during these moments. Back to cats now. I have a particular weakness for the fluffier ones, even if they are a bit scruffy. They just seem more cuddle-worthy, and seeing as how I'm not getting human cuddles before I'm reborn, cats are a good alternative.
So there was a cat. Not in the middle of the road, by the side. It was minding its own business, trying to fish something out of a basket, when we (my friends and I) saw it. We didn't throw any sticks or stones at it or even yell. All we did was meow at Senor (or Senora) Cat. Our grammar must have been atrocious, because it definitely scared the cat out of its wits. Short of being chased by a dog, I've never seen a cat get away from something so fast.
Cats are always indifferent to some things, if not all. The government tends to be the opposite; it is anything but indifferent. In fact, the COVID caller tune has been more caring and courteous than many people I know, and that speaks for itself. Every time there is an urgent call I have to make, I have to convince the super-concerned person on the phone before I can actually start my conversation.
It's tiresome, but it's more than people do. The government is really strange in this matter, I believe. It never takes the right step; it either overdoes something or does far too little. Something happened today which reinforced my belief in a conspiracy theory: the government spies on us.
There was a poster. Once again, in dire need of a graphic designer. It had Mamata Banerjee's face on it. Then there was a picture of Modi and Amit Shah's faces merged together. I don't know how they did it, I just know it looked hilarious. Then there was a bit of text, which read: Death to Modi-Shah, or something to that effect.
It took me a few seconds to comprehend the poster. Then I spent an entire minute laughing. Just as I was about to take a picture of it for posterity, a bus pulled up beside the taxi. I have not experienced an interruption quite as poignant as this one, and the fact that it was a political poster I was looking at confirmed my suspicions.
I know I'm rambling today, but it's just been that sort of weather. Grey, overcast skies, high humidity and reduced visibility- none of it lets you focus. I ought to close up shop now. Adios!
Even I'm in dearth of the human-cuddles you are talking about and also I want to know why cats are indifferent super super soonnn!
